Welcome to the Mercury Alberta Web Site!


The purposes of the Mercury Amateur Radio Association (Alberta), otherwise known as Mercury Alberta, are to:

  1.  Provide training, a common meeting ground, and appropriate resources for licensed Amateur Radio Operators, and those actively working to become licensed, who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) or other relief agencies who support the objects of the Association.

  2.  Provide communications during emergency conditions to Units of the LDS Church in Alberta or to other relief agencies when authorized by such Church or agency.

Our primary service area is Alberta and South-eastern British Columbia.

Mercury Alberta is not owned, directed, operated by, or a program of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mercury Alberta exists and operates independently and simply extends its offer of service to members of the LDS Church and others with common interests.

Membership in Mercury Alberta is voluntary and is open to all interested individuals. To register with Mercury Alberta, please go to Registration.

Mercury Alberta is affiliated with the Radio Amateurs of Canada (www.rac.ca).
